♪ Smile – Charlie Chaplin:

via @youtube

one of the most beautiful and saddest songs ever written.
by the quiet man of the silent movies

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it’s breaking.
When there are clouds in the sky
you’ll get by.

If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You’ll see the sun come shining through
For you.

Light up your face with gladness,
Hide every trace of sadness.
Although a tear may be ever so near
That’s the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what’s the use of crying.
You’ll find that life is still worthwhile-
If you just smile.

  1. You have had a really horrible day.
Firstly you have to pay to see the Consultant you should’ve been seeing via the NHS. This goes against Everything you believe.
Secondly No matter how we try not to, we build up a conversation in our heads as to how we believe the Consultation will go.. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But when it doesn’t go quite to plan, we are left totally exhausted and depressed.
Your situation as you know isn’t just a cut and dried affair. You knew it wasn’t going to be a quick fix. However this didn’t. Stop you from expecting just a bit more than you actually got..Let’s hope that the coming weeks see things move on for you.
Your consultant will review all your scans. Perhaps request that some are repeated and hopefully He’ll have some answers for you re your headaches slurred speech and semi paralysis on your left side.
Remember in the mean time your Twitter twits are here for you
I may not have seen you for years but I care about your health issues. Hopefully We’ll get a cuppa some weekend I’m in fermanagh.
So chin up and best foot forward. Ok? Xxxx

    • Thanks F.
needed to get the shitty let down feeling out. I shouldn’t be surprised, but even had i been offered a comfy pillow, or a stick, i would have felt more valued…
      positive blog today.
And thank god for the blogging!
      Hx
