Chiari MRI scan day

MRI.

CD ready – Bach – strong music

hadn’t remembered how EARLY 9 oclock was!

UP and OUT

big, brave, been there before…and got the MRI t-shirt.

“DEAR GOD how long is this corridor?” screamed by aching, weak legs?

They didn’t remember how FAR the X-ray department was up the corridor.

shattered when we got there…

even with Hazel

Physically done in!fatigue

called me IMMEDIATELY

very efficient – have to say it!

MRI lady came out to feel the geography of my head.

Said Neurosurgeon had sent her details on “plumbing” done – shunt type etc.

so she was all set.

in we go..

“shoes off”

“lie down”

“shuffle up the bed”

“knees on this”

“here’s your CD” (as ALWAYS the Bach double Concerto in D minor – stong no bullsh** music)

and we proceed .

CLOSE MY EYES as i do

feel the clicks – sometimes in different parts of my body i can real feel the vibration – that helps

felt quite a lot of them in my brain today

could actually differentiate between vibrations in RIGHT and the LEFT of the brain.

clunks

bangs

techno-noises

OVER.

“sit til you feel steady”

“don’t be rushing to stand up”.

rushing? (snigger as if i could!)

shoes on

pick up Hazel and CD

shown out to OH

assess how i am….

resting

VERY VERY DIZZY

overwhelming

nausea…extremely noticeable

steps on corridor OUT felt heavier and more tired…each one…weaker than one before

Sat at door of hospital and OH walked the 100m to get the car – i knew my legs could not today!

Home now.

Antinausea meds taken

Cup of sugary tea.

now i NEED to sleep.

my brain says so.

……..scan went grand thanks………it’s my BODY that is a mess……. 😦
